Stories of Two is built on a foundation of authenticity—and that foundation began long before the business ever existed. I grew up in a historic farmhouse, where every creaky floorboard and sunlit window told a story. Watching my parents lovingly restore our home, I learned early on that good design isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about honouring character, creating comfort, and taking pride in the process.

My path to design wasn’t exactly linear. I began my education at Carleton University, majoring in Journalism, before shifting toward a Bachelor’s in Interior Design. That change grounded me in technical skill, creativity, and a detail-oriented mindset I carry into every project.

I started my career in commercial interiors, designing medical clinics and office spaces, before pivoting into luxury residential design, where I worked on high-end homes across the globe. Eventually, I transitioned into the retail side, leading visual merchandising, branding, and procurement for an interiors company. That chapter gave me the business acumen and creative freedom I needed to build something of my own.

At the same time, I was planning my wedding and unexpectedly fell in love with event design. I began to see the parallels between interiors and gatherings: both involve project management, storytelling, thoughtful sourcing, and layering in the small details that make people feel something. That spark led me to create Stories of Two, a creative studio rooted in interiors, events, and brand storytelling.

It’s no coincidence that one of our brand’s main images is my parents' home—a place that shaped my eye for design and my belief in storytelling through space. Our work today is grounded in that same spirit: real homes, real materials, and meaningful transformation. Because we believe the most beautiful spaces are the ones that reflect who you are and where you come from.
